The Red Beech - keepsake #1

This project, developed in collaboration with artist Ruben van der Scheer, revolves around a historic beech tree from the De Nieuwe Ooster cemetery and arboretum. After the tree was felled, the wood was carefully preserved and dried. Each object establishes a tangible connection to this place and, thereby, to the generations of the deceased and loved ones connected to it; it literally carries the history and atmosphere of De Nieuwe Ooster within it. Currently, I have only one 3-part Red Beech Totem in stock. The edition is limited to a maximum of 10 numbered copies, and they are made to order.
