6 evenings workshop on making wood joints - Wed 8, 15, 22, 29 April & 6, 13 May

We join different pieces of wood without using glue or screws. This method is inspired by centuries-old Japanese and European wood joining techniques. We use the book *The Art of Japanese Joinery* as inspiration and will create various joints over six evenings. We start with the basics of woodworking: observing carefully, learning to work step-by-step, and marking neatly. After one or two lessons, you will have enough know-how to make joints independently. I will teach you tips and tricks for working straight and cleanly, and I aim to do this in an informal and personal setting.

The workshop includes materials and the use of tools – should you wish to purchase quality tools yourself, you can do so on-site at the shop in the workshop.
